Water Baptism - learning from the pebbles

It has been a beautiful day I was out in the garden trying to catch up on the fast growing weeds. My right knee still hurts so running must wait. Ouch!

Some of the plants obviously have grown much bigger to remain still in their pots. So I took time to do some re-potting.
I like to put some pebbles to cover the pot to keep unwanted weeds from invading. The pebbles looked they deserve a hearty wash so I put them into a pail of water.
I was pleasantly surprised how these now dirty and dull looking pebbles which we took from our trips to the Atlantic west coast of France have after a good wash become so beautiful with different shades of colour. Simply astonishing!
I was the reminded of the Water Baptism that Christians receive after they have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. We had all gone astray and without God and had become so dull with heavy burdens on our shoulders.

Thanks be to God that He came personally in Christ Jesus to get us reconcile back to Him. Water Baptism signifies that we are baptised into Christ. The purpose is to bring us to the awareness that we are so loved by God as all of us are made in His likeness & in His own image. We are so precious with different gifting to serve one another. We are all so beautiful just like the washed pebbles. Yes, water baptism reminds us once again we are precious & gifted!!!

And what a baptism! Learn from the pebbles, get connected with Jesus now!
